Security grants for nonprofits

Security grants pay for cameras, access control, lighting, fencing and other protection at nonprofits, schools, daycares and houses of worship at risk. Each program has its own rules, its own dates and a short window to apply. We prepare everything before the window opens.

The programs we work on.

What it takes.

  • A vulnerability assessment of your building: everything you request ties back to it.
  • Quotes from vendors for what the assessment finds.
  • Registrations in place: a Unique Entity ID from SAM.gov for the federal program; in New York, SFS prequalification for the State's program.
  • A clear account of the risk your organization faces, in the program's own terms.

Get ready before the window opens. Windows can be a few weeks or less. The organizations with their assessment, quotes and registrations done are the ones ready to file.

How we help.

  1. We check which programs fit your organization and your building.
  2. We prepare the vulnerability assessment and collect the vendor quotes.
  3. We finish the registrations the program needs, before the window opens.
  4. We write the application and file it on time, then send you the confirmation.
  5. After an award, we handle the purchasing records, the reimbursement requests and the reports.

Common questions.

Can a house of worship apply for security grants?

Yes. The programs we work on are open to eligible nonprofits at risk, including houses of worship of any faith, under each program's own rules.

Do we need to own our building?

Not always. Many programs accept a rented or leased building when the owner allows the security work. We check each program's rule for you.
